Welcome to Dying 2 Live

I want to welcome you to my first blog. I titled it Dying 2 Live because of Jesus call to those who would be his disciple in Luke 9:23. This is a text that I live my life by. I am continually learning how to live out this verse. I remember the first time I read it in April 1989. It arrested me and pierced my heart and soul. Since that time I have been learning more and more about what it means to die to self, to kill sin and mortify the flesh. Some days I am filled with grace and some days I struggle. Thanks be to God who has delivered me from this body of death. Thanks for read my blog and entering this journey with me.

    I kinda wondered about the title too...like those church bulletin typos! The dying to self is a daily, moment-by-moment choice of obedience.
